Vaccine Costs

Change to Discounted Vaccine Availability

Effective 09/14, the Immunization Clinic has limited low cost adult vaccines available for uninsured and underinsured adults. Available vaccines will be given on a first come-first serve basis. Please call 303-602-3520 to check on supply before coming in. If we do not have enough vaccine, it can be obtained by paying full price.* We apologize for the inconvenience that this may cause. This message was updated on 9/14/17.

*This message only relates to routine immunizations given through the Immunization Clinic. All Travel Vaccines are paid at full price.

Cholera Vaccine Now Available

You can now receive an oral cholera vaccine at Denver Public Health. This vaccine is given as a drink and must be taken in the Immunization Clinic. Please review the following important information about the cholera vaccine:

  1. Patients should not take antibiotics for 10 days before receiving the cholera vaccine.
  2. Patients should avoid eating or drinking one hour before and after receiving the vaccine.
  3. The cholera vaccine should be completed 10 days before traveling to an area with cholera.

Denver Public Health's Immunization Clinic is an official Yellow Fever Vaccination Center as designated by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. Available adult and travel vaccines are individually priced (see below).

A travel consultation, which includes Malaria prescriptions, is $60 for the first person in the family/group, $60 for each additional adult and $25 for each additional child, plus the cost of immunizations. Visit our Travel Clinic webpage for more details on services.

You are REQUIRED to make a travel consultation appointment if:

  • You need a prescription (such as malaria, traveler's diarrhea or high altitude sickness.) Please note: Travel prescriptions can no longer be filled at any Denver Health pharmacy location. We apologize for the inconvenience and are happy to send your prescriptions to another pharmacy of your choice.

  • If you do not know what vaccinations you need for travel and want recommendations.

Clients returning for follow-up doses of a series are only charged for the cost of the vaccine. There is no additional administration fee.
